The story
Willow & Wand is a one-person operation run from a workshop behind the maker's home in rural Suffolk. The site dates the business to spring 2020, after a period of making bats for friends and family from 2019, and says its bats are now used in more than seven countries.
Each bat is shaped by the owner from locally sourced English willow, with a focus on keeping prices within reach of club players. A small set of named shapes is offered in three main grades, and the workshop also takes on repairs, refurbishments and hand knocking-in for other bats.
