The story
SR Cricket is a cricket bat brand that trades from Metro Centre in Sandridge, near St Albans in Hertfordshire. It sells English willow bats for seniors and juniors, along with training bats, bags and accessories, and ships to the UK and abroad. The footer claims more than 100 years in the business, but no founding date or founders are given.
The site credits its bats to a master bat maker with more than 30 years of experience who grades and presses each cleft before shaping. It does not say where the workshop is. Alongside a named model range, SR offers a Made 2 Measure custom bat with a 7-10 week lead time, and a Ready 2 Play preparation service covering oiling, some hand knocking-in and edge tape.
Willow English willow.
