The story
County bats were first made in St Neots, Huntingdonshire, by the Trimmins family in 1904. The business moved its factory to Huntingdon in 1983, and the site notes that craftsmen from the St Neots days carried on making bats there.
Hunts County describes itself as a traditional maker producing more than twenty thousand bats a year for customers around the world. Its own website works as a catalogue rather than a shop, with online sales handled by the retailer V-Sports, and it also runs a repair service for bats of any make.
Where they're made Own factory at Hinchingbrooke Business Park, Huntingdon.
Willow Salix caerulea (cricket bat willow); top models described as air-dried, player-grade willow. Growing source not stated.
