The story

Prophecy Cricket was set up in Manchester in 2018 with the aim of making cricket kit more affordable. It sells English willow bats in four grades alongside gloves, pads, balls and teamwear, and runs a sponsorship scheme for young players. Each of its five bat models carries its own themed sticker design.

The company says its bats are made by hand from UK-grown willow bought from J.S. Wright and Sons, though the site does not say where the bats are made. In March 2026 it opened its first shop, in Marple, Stockport, where buyers can try bats by appointment.
