The story
Orion is a small English willow bat brand with no website of its own. Its fullest range is sold by Romida Cricket, the cricket retailer with shops in Newhey, Huddersfield, Knutsford, Leatherhead and Colchester, and the Orion product copy on retailer sites refers to Romida directly. Its Instagram account describes the bats as handcrafted in Cheshire.
The bat line-up is built around three model families, Uproar, Spirit and Frontier, each offered in four willow grades from 1.0 down to 4.0, with junior versions of some models. Orion also covers batting pads, gloves, wicketkeeping gear and bags. Prices sit at the more affordable end of the English willow market.
Where they're made The brand's Instagram profile describes the bats as handcrafted in Cheshire; the product pages do not say.
Willow Unbleached English willow, offered in Grades 1 to 4.
